Road Construction Project

The City of Harrisburg is accepting sealed bids for a road construction improvement project located at the intersection of S Commercial St (HWY 45) and Sloan St. The project shall be started withing 45 days of notification of bid awardee and be completed within 90 days of award of bid (weather permitting). The road construction improvement project is approximately 6,500 square feet of Portland Cement Concrete Pavement 10 inches thick with a minimum of 4 inches thick of CA-6 rock subbase. All traffic control and concrete work shall be constructed by the standard specifications for road and bridge construction that was adopted January 1, 2022. All traffic control must have a minimum of one lane of travel that is available. Paint striping that will be included in the road construction improvement project is listed below: 260 feet of Crosswalk (white 6 inches wide) 60 feet of Stop Bars (white 24 inches wide) 30 feet of Solid Line (white 6 inches wide) 30 feet of Solid Double Line (yellow 6 inches wide) 5 inductive detector loops for the stop lights need to be included in the bid.
