PUBLIC NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL ESTATE

The City Council for the City of Harrisburg will receive sealed bids for the purchase of the following properties now owned by the City of Harrisburg: 

1017 Hobson Street - PIN: 06-2-490-03

Bids for the purchase of the aforesaid properties are hereby invited and will be received by the Office of the City Clerk until 2:00 p.m. March 31, 2026.  All bids shall be opened on April 01, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the council chambers.  Said bids shall be addressed to the City Clerk, 110 E. Locust Street, Harrisburg, Illinois, and shall bear the legend "BID - SALE OF REAL ESTATE" and shall have the specific address of the property to which the bid relates. The properties are sold “AS IS” with all faults. The City makes no warranties of any kind as to the property. Title search or insurance is responsibility of buyer.        

The City Council may accept the highest bid or offer whose bid meets the requirements and which is determined by them to be in the best interest of the municipality and which complies with the terms of this notice. The City has the right to reject any and all bids or offers, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. The City reserves the right to review and study any and all bids and to make an award within thirty days after the bids have been opened and publicly read.
