Sidewalk Project

The City Council for the City of Harrisburg is accepting sealed bids for the removal of approximately 8,800 sq. ft of sidewalk.   

The contractor is responsible for the removal of 4-5 inches of sidewalk and replacement of 4-inch sidewalks with 4,000 psi concrete with fiber and backfill of sidewalks, ADA detectable warnings, and traffic control. The city will provide the dump site, backfill dirt, and rock for the 4-inch sub-base (must be tamped) but the contractor must come and haul it. All locations will be marked with white paint.

Contractor must provide work comp insurance, 1 million liability policy naming the City of Harrisburg as an insured party, certified payroll and prevailing wage. All sealed bids must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than June 16, 2026, by 2:00 p.m. Sealed bids will be opened at 2:00 p.m. on June 16, 2026 in City Hall. Bid shall bear the legend SIDEWALK BID and be awarded or rejected at the June 18, 2026, council meeting. 

Project must start within 30 days of award and be completed within 90 days of award weather permitting.

The City Council may accept the lowest bid or offer whose bid meets the requirements and which is determined by them to be in the best interest of the municipality, and which complies with the terms of this notice. The City has the right to reject any and all bids or offers, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. The City reserves the right to review and study any and all bids and to make an award within thirty days after the bids have been opened and publicly read.
