The Harrisburg City Council met on August 29, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the City Hall located at 110 E. Locust Street, Harrisburg, IL.

Mayor John McPeek called the meeting to order. Mayor John McPeek presided over the meeting with Commissioners Roger Angelly, and Rupert Johnson answering roll call.  Commissioners Raymond Gunning and Jonathan Brown were absent.

Commissioner Roger Angelly made the motion to approve the consent agenda. CM Renovations in the amount of $14,405.81.  Seconded by Commissioner Rupert Johnson. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.

Mayor John McPeek opened the only sealed bid for the vac wagon. Superintendent Jason Haney stated this will help with the lead copper service line project. He spoke to the city treasurer, and the money is in his budget and will be split between the water and sewer department budgeted funds. The sealed bid was from Vermeer Midwest in the amount of $45,585.00. Commissioner Roger Angelly made the motion to accept the sealed bid from Vermeer Midwest in the amount of $47,585.00. Seconded by Commissioner Rupert Johnson. A roll call vote was taken with all present voting yes. Motion carried.
